The Pequea Inn
Photo of the Pequea Tavern taken
sometime in the 70's
This is truly a piece of history. Unfortunately, we have yet to track down photos of the original structure that was a fishing lodge in the early 1900's. From the stories of the "locals", it was turned into the Pequea Tavern in the early 70's. What was once a well known "biker bar", and after going though several owner/operators...it was purchased and renovated by a local contractor. Key features were preserved, such as the original bar with a marble top (once the floor in the Pequea Courthouse) and original hardwood floors.
This home is very much, a hidden gem. Nestled on Lake Aldred, the picturesque sunsets are breathtaking. This home is a perfect getaway for hikers, bikers, bicyclists, cavers, paddle boarders, boater, fishers, kayakers, readers, writers, partyers....pretty much anyone with a pulse.
